As part of my digital marketing course I am learning about the advantages of blogging.
Some people love putting themselves out to the world while others like me are more reserved and prefer to be anonymous ( been described on an occasion as a “Dark Horse“).
However being anonymous does not assist you in fulfilling your dreams. My blog post of 1st October 2014 shows my ideal day, to get that I need to be seen and heard, and then generate peoples interest in me so that they follow my blog/life experiences, which will eventually create an income.
So why blog? What do you blog? How do you blog? Where do you blog?
All questions I have been obtaining the answers to on my journey through my digital marketing course.
The following is a high level review of these questions and my answers as this point in my learning journey, over the weeks as I learn deeper strategy I will expand these further, so keep watching.
To introduce yourself and your product to the world.
What do you blog?
First rule is do not say. “I don’t know what to blog“, we all have a unique view on life so blog about what you love.
If you want to be more focused then group your blogs under the 5 headings;
For example; What is affiliate marketing, What is dressage, What is Pilates.
For example; How to build a shed
How to do toenail reconstruction ( something my wife does but that is for another blog ).
Tell a story about your life “Horse trailers are dangerous because !” ( another story another time see you get the idea !).
Stories, videos, jokes. ( I am terrible at telling jokes always forget part of it !).
Promote Products you are selling or an affiliate of, but don’t over sell on your blog it’s not for that, do that on your landing pages ( another blog subject).
Only Promote products in 20 % (1/5 ) of your blogs, so 20% on each of the 5 areas might be ideal.
How do you blog?
Sign up here and do the course run by SFM/DEA its the easiest route or google “blogging” to find out more.
Where do you blog?
Here like I am now using Word press it is very simple to do. You can sign up for a $1 >Click here to try for yourself. <
Types of Blog
This is a textual blog, you can also have art (art blogs), photographs (photoblogs), music (MP3 blogs), audio (podcasts), video (vlogs), short posts (microblogging) and education (edublogs) and I am sure others will emerge in the coming years.
So a final word or four;
Give it a Go…..
