Which generation do you fit into?
They were born between 1946 and 1964 and are aged now fifty or over.
They are seen to be strong at leading, being both decisive and persuasive.
Less ambitious and altruistic than other younger X,Y and Z generations having taken control with a sense of earned entitlement.
They are good at motivating as they are strategic and open-minded and innovative. More extrovert than Generation Y, with boomer woman much more socially confident then boomer men and more open-minded than younger generation Y females.
UNLIKE THEIR PARENTS GENERATION , Boomers will be a market with very different characteristics. They exercise twice as much as previous generations. No bocci ball or badminton—no rocking chairs or vegitating in the desert sun or on the Spanish coast.
They’ll continue to bike, hike, swim, sail, ski, play softball and basketball. They’ll move to the mountains, beaches, islands, college town, where the physical and intellectual action is.
They were born 1965 to 1979, so aged 35 to 49 now.
They speak both the language of the boomers and generation Y, this has meant they have emerged as natural diplomats, educating upwards and innovating downwards.
More people oriented and socially confident than boomers, they have been at the front and centre of every major economic crisis and technology driven revolution of the past thirty years.
They are resilient, yet also have ambition, personal drive, have an abstract way of thinking and a sense of autonomy that creates the platform for entrepreneurial drive.
They were born 1980 to 1994, so are 20 to 34 years old now. They are highly ambitious, optimistic, socially confident and strong on people skills.
They are a curious bunch and intuitive, more likely to influence then persuade.
They have a strong preference for abstract and conceptual thinking and they can join the dots in the data driven digital world.
They will probably be the first generation where women smash the glass ceiling seen by the older generations.
Generation Y Women top the charts for all the age groups when it comes to being socially confident, helpful, organised and meticulous.
The eldest are only 19, so they are only entering os soon will the work place.
They will change the dynamic, boomers will no longer be seen as the parents, Generation X will no longer be the baby of the family.
These millennials are the first true digital generation who were raised in a connected world, as such these leaders of the future are likely to look very different from the boomers in charge today.
In summary an interesting time to be alive on Planet Earth !
