I was walking through Milton Keynes having just been to the post office and I heard a busker playing his guitar, it sounded good so I slowed and saw he was asking for money ( had an open guitar case with a few coins in it).
I had a pocket of change so sprinkled that into the case and he gave me a smile and a hearty thank you.
The previous week a guy looking a bit untidy and very down and out asked for some change.
My immediate thought was NO, why?
I’d been conditioned by the know it alls, “He’s on drugs”, “He’s a drinker”, “He wants smokes”.
But recently I’ve decided to listen to my mind and my heart and they told me to trust the guy, so I handed him a Five pound note, lovely and crisp and the smile and look in his eyes made my heart sing, he was so grateful.
I have decided to give to people that ask and believe they really need it.
As we come up to the Christmas holidays, please spare a thought for the person who asks for some help.
