Looming clouds and silver linings.
Satya Gillen of the Hazelnut interviews wrote the following after interviewing me a week or so ago;
“One of the most enjoyable things about doing the Hazelnut Interviews is getting to sit down for half an hour to ask questions I know will help you improve areas of your professional, personal, spiritual, or artistic life.
The people I invite on are all people who I admire for one reason or another – the one common thread is that they are all taking firm action to create a lifestyle that fulfills them and ensures they can realize their purpose in life, whatever that may be.
This is Kevin Humphrey. In March of this year, Kevin swapped his 100 mile daily commute for this… (that’s the paddock where he takes his horse Floss for a ride at dawn and dusk instead of being stuck in traffic jam!).
Our guests have achieved great things in an aspect of their business or professional life. Others are an inspiration because they have chosen to give voice and form to their creative urges.
During the interviews, we learn about the skills they’ve mastered, the obstacles they’ve overcome, and the challenges they’re still facing. The other pillar of the interviews is to explore the unique blend of personal qualities that each one displays.
It’s a magical concoction of insight and mindset borne of life experience and their innate wisdom and essence.
Throughout our life, we all develop in a particular direction and form a particular view of the world. I feel it’s important to add something new to the mix by listening to the opinions of others and hearing their perspective.
It’s like someone taking us by the hand, onto the dance floor to try out a new step to a fresh beat.
When we couple this newness with our own experience, something that never previously existed manifests – and isn’t that an amazing!
So I invite you to join me and this week’s guest, Kevin Humphrey, to hear about how Kevin recognised the silver lining on a looming cloud, made a life-changing decision, and hasn’t looked back.
Delivering the education and skills to help you run a business on your laptop from anywhere.”
